Aldermore Bank has announced it will stop taking bridging loan applications from 1 September.
The specialist lender says it is doing this to concentrate on residential, commercial, and buy-to-let mortgages. The bank also provides finance for property developments.
In a statement from Aldermore on the Mortgage Strategy website, the bank said: “As of the 1st September we will no longer accept bridging applications but continue to focus on our core mortgage proposition.”
The lender says it will honour all existing applications up to and including 31stt August 2016 and the changes will apply across the country.
