Blue Shield Capital has completed a £16.7m bridging loan for a UK-based landlord and buy to rent operator.
The 12-month facility, secured across two assets in Manchester and Leeds, was arranged to support the borrower, who specialises in city-centre rental living, in redeeming their existing debt and restructuring their portfolio.
The Manchester property consists of 75 apartments while the Leeds property extends to 77 apartments.
Both properties underwent extensive refurbishment between 2019 and 2020 and are 100% occupied, producing a rent of £1.9m per annum combined.
Commenting on the deal, Caroline Small, senior analyst at Blue Shield Capital, said: “We’re proud to have supported our client in achieving their goals by providing a complex financing solution within a tight timeframe.
