Trinity Specialist Finance has access to JBR Capital’s new proposition enabling clients to secure finance against their supercars, classic cars and performance cars.
The lender is the exclusive finance provider for McLaren Automotive, and it offers flexible and bespoke terms for loans between £50,000 and £3 million. Its rates are typically priced at 4.49%, and there is a low £295 arrangement fee.
Finance can be structured on an interest-only basis on either fixed or variable rates between 12 and 60 months. For unregulated loans, there are early repayment charges up to 6% in the first year, reducing to 3% after 13 months.
Backed by Cabot Square Capital, the specialist financial services private equity investor, the lender provides a flexible approach and can arrange finance in as little as two working days. It does not always need to see the car for every transaction providing the client can demonstrate proof of ownership.
JBR has provided finance on a range of cars recently including a £500,000 advance against a McLaren P1 at 42% loan-to-value. Also, a £432,500 loan against an Aston Martin DB4 Coupe at 69% loan-to-value. It has also provided finance of £87,500 against a Ferrari Testarossa at 70% loan-to-value.
Aaron Strutt, product director at Trinity Specialist Finance, says: “Virtually all of the lenders we work with provide finance against the property, so this is something different. This product is designed to help clients who are unable to remortgage or need finance quickly to repay a debt. It is a good alternative to bridging or equity release.
“Applicants do not need to have permanent residency and they can still drive the car. Loans are likely to go through faster when clients earn more than £150,000 as they are classed as high-net-worth.”
